Marking the Victory Week, the Chief Executive Officer of Zain Iraq Ali Al-Zahid announced the donation of 375 million Iraqi Dinars to the families of the media martyrs. The announcement was made during a central ceremony organized by Communications and Media Commission (CMC).
The ceremony, initiated by the CMC under the auspices of Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi, took place following his victory statement declaring the liberation of Mosul. As part of the Victory Week celebrations, the ceremony was dedicated to honor the press martyrs and media institutions for their distinguished coverage the liberation operations.
Attended by Dr. Waleed Al-Hilli, Iraqi Prime Minister advisor along with representatives from the Parliament’s Culture and Media Committee and senior executives from CMC headed by the Executive Chairman Dr. Ali Al-Khuwaildi and members of the Board of Trustees, in addition to members of the press representing the entire Iraqi media scene.
Stressing on the role of National Corporation Responsibility in supporting such initiatives, Ali Al-Zahid, CEO of Zain Iraq said: "We are an integral part of the Iraqi society, and being the largest telecom company in Iraq, we naturally influence and get influenced on all aspects of our society and the economy. Supporting the families of media martyrs is a responsibility that we hope everyone will contribute to”.
Zain Iraq’s initiative was appreciated and praised by all attendees hoping all institutions in Iraq will follow.
