Zain Iraq Welcomes Al-Nahrain University Computer Science Students to ZINC Hall for an Interactive Industry Visit


Baghdad, Iraq | October 2025:  Zain Iraq, through its innovation and youth empowerment platform ZINC, successfully hosted a group of Computer Science students from Al-Nahrain University at as part of its ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world technology applications.

The visit was designed to provide students with immersive learning experience, enabling them to explore how their academic knowledge translates into actual roles within leading technology, cybersecurity, and digital product environments. Upon arrival, students were introduced to the vision behind Zain Iraq’s innovation initiatives, talent development programs, and youth-focused engagement efforts.

Throughout the visit, the students engaged in interactive sessions with specialists from multiple departments, including Networks, Cybersecurity, and Data management. These sessions showcased how Zain Iraq’s technical teams manage network infrastructure, protect digital ecosystems from cybersecurity threats, analyze data to serve thousands of users across Iraq.

The delegation was also given a walkthrough of ZINC’s innovation space, where they learned about its role as a hub for community development, entrepreneurship, and capacity building. The visit highlighted real examples of student internships, capstone project collaborations, and youth-led tech initiatives hosted previously at ZINC.

A dedicated Q&A segment allowed students to directly interact with team members, ask career-oriented questions, and gain practical advice on entering the telecommunications and digital services industry. The discussion also emphasized the importance of applied skills, industry exposure, and digital readiness in shaping future career trajectories.
