Baghdad, Iraq | September 2025: Zain Iraq successfully concluded its 2025 Back-to-School campaign with the distribution of 550 complete school packages to orphans from across five governorates, ensuring they begin the school year fully equipped and supported.
On Wednesday, September 3rd, the company welcomed the children to its headquarters in Baghdad for a warm and joyful celebration. Each child received a school bag filled with essential stationery and supplies, in addition to an awareness lecture on school bullying and its dangers to society, followed by a lunch gathering creating a memorable and uplifting experience.
The initiative was made possible thanks to the generosity of Zain Iraq employees, whose enthusiastic participation supported the preparation of the packages. Organized in collaboration with Dhahab Center, the Stationery Bazaar offered a variety of discounted school items for employees, turning the event into a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the children’s cause.
“This campaign is a testament to what can be achieved when a company and its people unite for a cause,” said Mr. Emre Gurkan the CEO of Zain Iraq. “By providing these packages, we are giving children the tools to learn, grow, and dream of a brighter future.”
The Back-to-School campaign reflects Zain Iraq’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility, community empowerment, and ensuring that every child can succeed in education.
