Zain Iraq Launches Joyful Back-to-School Campaign Supporting Orphans and Employees

Baghdad, Iraq | August 2025: Zain Iraq is excited to announce its annual Back-to-School campaign, designed to bring joy and support to children in need, especially orphans.

From Sunday, August 24th through Thursday, August 28th, employees can visit the Stationery Bazaar at Zain HQ’s ground floor, organized in collaboration with Dhahab Center. A variety of school bags, stationery, and supplies will be available at special discounted prices, with proceeds helping support the preparation of 550 school packages for orphans across five governorates, a collective contribution made possible through employees’ participation.

The campaign will culminate on Wednesday, September 3rd, when 100 children will be welcomed to Zain’s headquarters to receive the school packages funded through the Bazaar, and enjoy a warm lunch provided by the company.

“This initiative connects our employees’ participation with a tangible impact,” said Mr. Emre Gurkan the CEO of Zain Iraq. “By shopping at the Bazaar, our staff will help provide essential supplies for children who need them most.”

This Back-to-School campaign reflects Zain Iraq’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, with a special focus this year on empowering orphans to begin the school year with confidence and hope. By linking employee participation with meaningful impact, the initiative demonstrates how collective efforts can create lasting change for those who need it most.
