Baghdad, Iraq | September 2025: Zain Iraq, one of the region’s leading telecommunications and digital services providers and a subsidiary of Zain Group, is actively participating as the Strategic Partner of the Iraq International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition (ITEX Iraq 2025), held at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds from September 25 to 28.
This marks the second consecutive year of Zain Iraq’s strategic partnership with ITEX, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to advancing Iraq’s ICT ecosystem, strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure, and providing innovative technology solutions for both the public and private sectors.
In collaboration with its subsidiary Horizon and in partnership with global and regional leaders including Huawei, ZOI, ZainTech, and Zain Cash, Zain Iraq is presenting a comprehensive portfolio of advanced ICT and digital solutions. These range from cybersecurity services, cloud computing infrastructure, M2M data transfer, and call center solutions, to digital financial platforms and enterprise-grade connectivity tools. Together, these offerings are tailored to help institutions, enterprises, and startups navigate their digital transformation journey in line with international best practices and performance standards.
Mr. Emre Gurkan, CEO of Zain Iraq, stated:
“ITEX Iraq is the largest and most important technology platform in the country, and we are proud to engage directly with Iraq’s business community, institutions, and innovators. Our presence here as Strategic Partner reflects our clear commitment to supporting Iraq’s digital agenda and preparing the ground for the next wave of connectivity and innovation. We stand ready to launch 5G services as soon as the regulatory license is granted, and we view this exhibition as an opportunity to highlight the advanced infrastructure that underpins that readiness.”
In parallel to showcasing its enterprise solutions, Zain Iraq is activating its Zain Esports platform at ITEX Iraq through a series of tournaments that are drawing significant participation from local gamers. With prizes exceeding 20 million Iraqi dinars, alongside live raffles and entertainment activities, these activations are positioning the Zain pavilion as one of the most engaging destinations for youth at the exhibition.
Over the course of the exhibition, Zain Iraq experts are also contributing to keynote addresses, technical workshops, and panel discussions on priority topics including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, smart cities, cybersecurity, data protection, digital health, and mobility
solutions. These sessions are expected to shape dialogue around Iraq’s role in the regional digital landscape and underscore Zain Iraq’s leadership as a trusted enabler of innovation.
