For the first time in Iraq Zain Cash expands its services and benefits by launching its brand new ‘WalletCard’- Mastercard® .
In line with its ongoing efforts to provide the latest digital solutions and innovative products to its subscribers, Zain Cash announced the launch of ‘WalletCard’ - certified by the leading electronic payments solution provider; Mastercard Global, with a wide range of exclusive benefits to its subscribers. And for the first time in Iraq, the card will be linked to Zain Cash –the mobile electronic wallet- with no need to own a bank account, offering cardholders the benefits of using a Mastercard both locally and globally in more than 50 million points of sale that accept Mastercard payments across the world. Users will also be able to use the card for online shopping and cash withdrawals from ATMs around the world.

Users can get their ‘WalletCard’ easily through Zain Iraq main shops that are located across all Iraqi governorates without the need to open a bank account. The card can be activated free of charge through Zain Cash application that is available on Apple Store and Google Play. The individual simply clicks on ‘WalletCard’ icon to register as an owner of a permanent account. Then, the user will be prompted to enter a serial number followed by the personal identification number (PIN) for Zain Cash wallet. ‘WalletCard’ is linked to Zain Cash wallet which enables users to have full control over their cards such as instant freeze in case of loss. The wallet can be topped-up at Zain Cash centers, which can be located using the app at any time. Zain Cash commercial team is well trained and equipped to explain activation details and mechanisms that are easy yet confidential.
Zain Cash wallet was launched in March 2013 to develop online and smartphone payment solutions. In December 2015, Zain Cash received the certification of the Central Bank of Iraq. Its primary services include person-to-person (P2P) money transfer, bill payment, digital goods purchases, mobile recharge, e-commerce payment, and retail QR payment.
