Warning Against Fraudulent Ads

Mobile Telecommunications Company (K.S.C.P.)- “Zain Group” The owner of Al-Khatem Company for Telecommunications the owner of Zain Iraq would like to warn against fraudsters and impersonators who are exploiting Zain’s name and logo by associating it with photos and videos that feature misrepresented statements attributed to members of the company’s Board of Directors and executive management.

These fraudulent ads have been manipulated from statements made by the Board and executive management members at official events and conferences, using the false content in a misleading manner by circulating fraudulent material on websites and social media networks. Fraudulent ads have included calling for investment opportunities in Zain that provide financial returns.

Zain Group reiterates that these are fraudulent opportunities that are not real and are not generated by the company or any of its affiliates and warn the public to take precautions vis-à-vis these fraudulent electronic ads by not entertaining nor engaging with them.

Zain Group is a public joint stock company listed on the Boursa Kuwait, As is the case for Al Khatem Telecommunications Company listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange, and there is no way to invest in, trade shares, or obtain investment information about the company except through accredited investment entities licensed by regulatory bodies.

Zain disclaims any responsibility for these misleading invitations for investment and advises caution when receiving any such material. Zain will not be held responsible or liable for any actions or invitations that call for financial investment in the company through registering on sham websites that are in no way associated with the company, and Zain confirms that it will take all legal measures to protect its name and brand image against these fraudulent ads.
