Zain Iraq hosts the Code Lab Bootcamp for programmers and entrepreneurs to enable young Iraqi talents

As a translation of its vision and belief in the skills and talents of the Iraqi youth, Zain Iraq, part of Zain Group, a leading telecom innovator in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa, is hosting Code Lab Bootcamp, an intensive training on software development, which attracted a number of programmers, app developers and entrepreneurs. Through this Bootcamp, Zain Iraq aimed to support and enhance the skill set of young Iraqis in programming and smartphone and tablet application development. Zain Iraq believes that the younger generations constitute a key element for the advancement of Iraqi society, especially in light of the current economic situation. For that reason, it remains keen to embrace their talents, build a solid partnership with them and create a suitable creative environment for them to share their thoughts and discover their abilities.

The Bootcamp spread over a duration of seven days and was hosted at Zain Iraq’s headquarters. Welcoming around 20 participants, the training offered them an exceptional chance to learn the basics of programming and experience professional program/app development hands-on. They were also able to enjoy two weeks of follow-up and support after the Bootcamp.

Commenting on the Bootcamp, Dr. Haidar Radi, Chief Operating Officer at Zain Iraq said "Organizing this Bootcamp for young Iraqi entrepreneurs goes hand in hand with Zain Iraq’s youth empowerment strategies, programs, and activities, especially those that relate to the information technology and telecommunications’ sectors. This Bootcamp is also in line with Zain Iraq’s strategy which aims to boost the information technology and telecommunications’ sector in Iraq and keep pace with global developments.
