MMS:
  1. How can I use MMS service?
  2. Answer:

    • Your mobile handset should support MMS service.
    • Activate the MMS service.
    • MMS service can be used to send images, text, audio and video clips.

  3. How can I activate MMS service?
  4. Answer: You can activate the MMS service by following the bellow steps:

    • To request for MMS service settings, the customer should send an empty SMS to 2144, call the call center (107), or send the request to our social media pages on Facebook & Twitter or by send his request to this email address 107@iq.zain.com.
    • We will ask for Customer’s mobile phone type and will send the OTA setting for his/her handset.
    • Call Center agent will have the Customers mobile phone type and will send the OTA setting for his/her handset.
    • Customer will receive the settings for MMS service in an SMS and will start saving the setting.

  5. How much is the cost of MMS?
  6. Answer: The cost for sending an local MMS message is 120 IQD per MMS message. international MMS message is 300 IQD

  7. How much is the size of MMS message?
  8. Answer: Maximum MMS message size is: 300 KB.

  9. Can I send an mms message to someone who has not activated MMS service?
  10. Answer: If the device does not support MMS or doesn’t have the service, then the recipient customer will not be able to receive the MMS message.

  11. Do I have to activate GPRS service before sending the MMS message?
  12. Answer:no,you don’t have to activate GPRS service before sending the MMS message.GPRS and MMS services are different services using two different APN’s

  13. Can I send an MMS to other operators inside Iraq ?

    Answer: The service works inside Zain only and for International destinations, too.

  14. What if I send an MMS to an International destination or receive one and the other part has no MMS service ?

    Answer: It will be delivered as an SMS with a link and you can download your MMS from that link.

     

GPRS:
  1. What is GPRS service?
  2. Answer: It’s a wireless service that allows the customers to have a continuous connection to the Internet

  3. What are the devices on which GPRS service can be activated?
  4. Answer:The GPRS service can be activated on the devices that supports the service . for example: iPhone, Nokia, Samsong, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Siemens,i-mate,etc….

  5. How can I activate GPRS service?
  6. Answer: You can activate the GPRS service by following the bellow steps:

    • To request for GPRS service, the customer should send an empty SMS to 2144, call the call center (107), or send the request to our social media pages on Facebook & Twitter or by send his request to this email address 107@iq.zain.com.
    • We will ask for Customer’s mobile phone type and will send the OTA setting for his/her handset.

  7. Can I activate the GPRS service while I do not have credit ?
  8. Answer: Yes, the GPRS service activation cost is free of charge. You only need to call the Call Center’s number (107) and the call center agent will help you with the process of activating the GPRS service.

  9. How much is the cost of GPRS service?
  10. Answer: GPRS cost is 12 IQD for each 10 KB in mobiles and tablets, while it's 3 IQD for each 10 KB when using Zain E-GO modem.

  11. Can I connect the handset with my PC using GPRS service and how?
  12. Answer: You have two ways to connect the handset with your PC, either by using USB Cable connection or using Bluetooth connection.

  13. What are the GPRS offers from Zain Iraq ?
    Answer: There are two groups of offers, Diamond Package & Peace of mind Package. You can call 107 or visit our Facebook page to see the details of each package. You can use these offers in Handsets, Tablets & E-GO Modem.
SMS:
  1. Can I get the SMS service number?
  2. Answer: The default SMS service number is: +9647802999920

  3. How much is the cost of the local SMS Inside Zain Iraq which is less than one page?

    Answer: The cost of local SMS for all the products is 25 IQD in the morning and 12 IQD in the night

  4. How much is the cost of the international messages?
  5. Answer: All international SMS’s is charged with IQD 150 for all our products.  

  6. When I send a message I found this statement on my mobile “sending failed” why and how can I get rid of this statement?
  7. Answer:  If you get such notification when sending SMS you can check the default SMS service number which should be +9647802999920, or check your credit (insufficient credit).

 

Prepaid & Postpaid:
  1. How do I know how much credit do I have on my prepaid line?
  2. Answer: To know how much credit you have on your prepaid card follow one of these two methods:

    • Dial 118 and follow the instructions given, you will be able to know your remaining credit & validity.
    • You can Press*100 # then OK or Call and you will receive your current balance in a short message

  3. How can I do a replacement to my damaged SIM card?
  4. Answer:

    • Visit one of Zain main shops to replace your SIM card
    • Bring your SIM card contract as well as the official document that improve your are the line owner
    • SIM Replacement fee is IQD 6000.
    • Only the owner of the Sim card or one of His/ Her relatives from the 1st degree who has the rights to make the replacment

  5. How can I use the chat service on 2428?
  6. Answer: you can simply send an empty text message to 2428 and start using the chat service

  7. I can not call anyone and I found this statement on my mobile “you are not allowed to make call” how can I get rid of this problem?
  8. Answer: Check line if its credit was expired, if yes you need to recharge your account by any type of RC in order to be allowed to make calls

  9. When I tried to call anyone the statement that appears on my mobile is “unregistered SIM” how can I get rid of this problem?
  10. Answer: Visit one of our main shops bringing with you (sim card, personal documents and personal picture).


  11. How can I recharge my account?
  12. Answer: To recharge your prepaid line with any recharge card, you have to follow one of these two methods:

    • Dial 116 and follow the instructions given, you will be able to recharge your credit You can Press*101# then insert 16 digits Recharge Card number then # then press OK or Call and you will receive a short message showing the new credit.

  13. How can I reactive my old SIM card, I can not make any call from this SIM?
  14. Answer:

    • Visit one of Zain main shops
    • Customer shall bring his/her SIM card contract as well as the official document related to the customer
    • SIM Replacement fee is IQD 6000.


  15. How much is the cost of local calls?
  16. Answer: It depends on your line type, and to check Call the 107 and follow the voice commands by choosing your line tariff plan, for example (eeZee All Day). Upon selecting the type of offer name follow the instructions to know the rates for all local and international rates. or send the request to our social media pages on Facebook & Twitter or by send his request to this email address 107@iq.zain.com.

  17. What is the method to know my bill?
  18. Answer: To know your bill please follow one of the bellow methods:

    • Through 107 IVR channel.
    • Through Shops.
    • Through credit control hot line (07822226431) .
    • Send SMS to 1014 and write (Balance)
